Arash Sangari (26) is working as a analyst for Sustainable Technology Partners Nordic AB. Mr. Sangari has been interested in sustainable product developmet since his studies in Mechanical Engineering at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BIT). His undergraduate thesis was in developing liftning equipment for ABB-KMT which resulted in a fully functional product that is today used in their cutting-box machines. The work also resulted in a scholarship in 'Entrepreneurship and Creativity' from the Sparbank Foundation the same year. During his studies, Mr. Sangari worked as a supervisor in CAD/CAM programes at BIT and served as the chairman of the BIT Sports Union.

 

Mr. Sangari also holds a Masters degree in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability at BIT. His interest in renewable energy led to a thesis in sustainable energy planning, a comparative study between Swedish and Canadian community energy plans. 

 

Before Mr. Sangari joined the Sustainable Technologies Fund  team, he worked as a researcher and analyst at The Natural Step International in Sweden.  Simultaneously, he worked for the Youth Parliament for the Environment where he inspired and educated teenagers in sustainable development. In 2005 Mr Sangari was chosen to participate as a member of the jury for the Sustainble School Award in the Stockholm region.  

 

Mr. Sangari's primarly responsibility today is sourcing, tracking and analyzing deal flow.
