Ewa Grzechnik (25) joined the team of Sustainable Technology Partners Nordic AB as an analyst in February 2009. Prior to that she completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Science at Uppsala University and the Swedish Agricultural University. During her studies she developed interest for innovative Cleantech solutions and how they can be successfully brought to market through investments, effective support policies and other financial incentives. Ms. Grzechnik’s Master’s thesis investigated what pre-requisites need to be fulfilled for both cost-efficient and effective deployment of renewable energy in Europe. Before she came to Sweden, Ms. Grzechnik completed her Bachelor’s degree in economics and politics at Jacobs University Bremen in 2007 in Germany. During her studies she worked as a teaching assistant in statistics and a researcher for the World Value Survey organization, together with Prof. Christian Welzel and Prof. Ronald Inglehart. In 2006, her academic achievements and extracurricular engagement were rewarded with scholarships from two of the most renowned German academic organizations- Foundation of the German Economy and German National Academic Foundation- as well as a scholarship from the Swedish Institute for her Master’s studies in Uppsala.
Ms. Grzechnik initially joined Sustainable Technologies Fund team as an intern in November 2008. Her current work as an analyst involves sourcing new companies, tracking deal flow and identifying new potential investment areas within the Nordic Cleantech arena.
