Hans Lundgren (59) is an investment director for the Sustainable Technologies Fund. For 12 years Mr. Lundgren has been Vice President, Corporate Strategy at Vattenfall AB, Stockholm, the 4th largest electric utility in Europe. Before his current position he built up and managed an organisation for investing in and owning generation assets in Latin America. At the end of that assignment he was also Deputy Head of Business Area International and responsible for all Overseas Investment in Vattenfall (in Asia and Latin America).
Prior to Vattenfall Mr. Lundgren worked 10 years as a management consultant for McKinsey and Co. first in Munich, Germany and then in Stockholm. He has also been an investment manager with Industor AB, Stockholm, a risk capital company, undersecretary for planning with responsibility for privatising Swedish state-owned companies at the Ministry for Industry and Commerce in Stockholm, assistant science counsellor at the Swedish Embassy in Bonn, Germany and research engineer at ABB in Västerås, Sweden. He has a broad business network in several different industries primarily in Sweden and Germany.
Mr. Lundgren holds a Master of Science in engineering physics at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and an MBA at the Stockholm School of Economics and Business Administration. Mr. Lundgren joined the Sustainable Technologies Fund during autum 2008 as investment director and partner. Mr. Lungren serves on the Board of Hexaformer.
