"Innotech Solar lays foundation stone for solar factory in Halle."

Innotech Solar today laid the foundation stone for their second European production site in Halle (Saale), Germany. The solar company will invest around 20 Million Euros into the first expansion step, providing 80 new jobs. The factory is going to process solar cells from various manufacturers. In this process, contaminations of the cells are isolated and removed, restoring their full efficiency. This minimizes the energy and raw materials used for the production of high-quality solar cells. Innotech Solar is the only company world-wide specializing in this type of process. The company works with well-known producers such as Q-Cells or Bosch.

 

STF and Industrifonden invest in the wind energy company Triventus

Sustainable Technologies Fund and Industrifonden together with existing shareholders invest 116 MSEK in Triventus.

The company is an emerging actor within the renewable energy sector, mainly focusing on wind energy development, consulting and service. Since its start in 2003 Triventus has shown a impressive growth and last year it was awarded th "Gasell" reward for being among the fastest growing companies in Sweden. Hans Lungren, Investment Director at Sustainable Technologies Fund says that Triventus is a very interesting and dynamic company that stands out and will continue to expand in the Nordic region the comming years.

Pemtec recruits Jan-Erik Eskilsby as new CEO

Mr. Eskilsby has an extensive experience from the heavy automotive industry and developing new markets such as USA, Canada and Russia. Mr. Eskilsby started with Volvo Truck Corp 1983, Scania followed 2000 to 2005. Mr. Eskilsby was Area Manager for Allison Transmission Inc covering Northern Europe before joining Pemtec. Mr. Eskilsby has developed an energy efficient system called “ASES”, Active Solar Energy Storage. ASES makes it possible to heat and cool buildings in a very efficient manner.

Inauguration of Innotech Solar power plant in Huelva

ITS Power has, together with its Spanish partner Energés, constructed a 2.4 MWp power plant on a carport

in Huelva, Spain. The construction started in October 2010, and the inauguration took place on 19th March

2011. The investor is a Swiss utility company and the plant will have an annual electricity production of 3500 MWh.

Scandia Wind Southwest signs Term Sheet with Tres Amigas LLC

The wind power development company Scandia Wind Southwest LLC (“Scandia”) signed a term sheet with

Tres Amigas LLC (“Tres Amigas”), the company behind the plans for the World’s largest AC to DC to AC

conversion substation, to be located north of Clovis, New Mexico. The term sheet will form the basis for

the final negotiations for an anchor tenant agreement between Scandia and Tres Amigas.

Havgul and Scandia Wind signs leases for massive Texas wind project

Norwegian developer Havgul and its partners in Scandia Wind Southwest have signed leases with about

500 landowners thus far in the Texas Panhandle to develop a massive wind farm called Mariah that could

reach an eventual 10GW. Plans call for completion of the first 200MW in 2013, with 500MW each in the

following two years. This will partly hinge on Texas regulators approving Scandia’s request for 1.2GW of

capacity on high-voltage transmission lines under construction that will bring wind power to major load

centers in the state.

REAC Fuel raises 6.2 MUSD in expansion capital

has raised 6.2 MUSD in expansion capital through a new issue. The investors are the oil company BP,

Vantage Point and Sustainable Technologies Fund.

Sustainable Technologies Fund Invest in Eco2 Energy

Sustainable Technologies Fund, Paron Ventures and Maximianus invest 34 MSEK in Eco2 Energy, an

independant provider of heat from renewable sources. The company addresses the growing market

for decentralized clean energy heating solutions. Eco2 Energy's solution is highly price competetive

alternative to district heating and methods based on fossil fuels.

Hexaformer recevied an order from ESB Networks from Ireland

THURSDAY 01 JUL

The Irish national utility company ESB Network has ordered 60 transformers from the Swedish company

Hexaformer for its EPRI Smart Grid demonstration project. One objective of this project is to reduce

distribution losses by 0.5% by 2012, saving costs and 180 kTons of CO2 emission. It is therefore a

sensible step to evaluate the technology of low loss transformers from Hexaformer. Delivery is expected

in October 2010 for installation and evaluation during 2011.

First two ITS power plants in Spain grid connected

ITS is happy to announce that the first ITS power plants “Las Zarzas” and “Albatera” were connected to

the grid in July. Both are roof-top mounted installations on industrial buildings. The power plants profit

from a high sun irradiation in the south of Spain leading to a specific production of around 1500 kWh / kWp.

Based in Zürich, ITS Power AG develops PV projects including site selection, engineering, construction,

maintenance, operation, financing and legal aspects. The company has a 60 MW project pipeline of mid to

large size power plants, mostly located in France. Several projects are currently in planning and engineering

phase with construction start in autumn 2010.

License agreement with Raychem from India

transformers under license in India. The Hexaformer transformer is highly energy efficient using CRGO

Hexaformer AB announced Thomas Türk as new CEO

TUESDAY 02 MAR

Thomas Türk has been named CEO of Hexaformer AB. His appointment is effective April 19, 2010. Thomas joined Siemens in 1988 where he served in a number of management roles during his career. His latest role within

Siemens was as Corporate Account Manager. Thomas received a Master of Sciences in Engineering in 1988 from Chalmers University in Gothenburg. This background, combined with Thomas' experience acquired within the Siemens group, will bring valuable competence to Hexaformer. Thomas' contact network in the transformer business will help Hexaformer to set the focus on expanding the activities to international markets.
